Ego State Therapy Foundations I

Cynthia will be co-teaching this 20-hour course with Wendy Lemke. It begins on 7 October 2026 and runs every Wednesday for 6 weeks. The course is designed and approved to count towards certification hours through Ego State Therapy North America (ESTNA), and Ego State Therapy International (ESTI), but it is also excellent training for therapists not seeking certification in EST. Ego State Therapy Foundations I focuses on all the fundamentals of Ego State Therapy including theory, identifying and accessing ego states, and a variety of therapeutic applications such as ego strengthening, affect regulation, and developmental repair. As both an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and ESTI/ESTNA Certified EST Consultant, Cynthia will also provide introductory information on integrating Ego State Therapy with EMDR during the training. Complex Trauma and Dissociation

Cynthia will provide an in-service training, "Introduction to the SARIA Model of EST: Phase Based Treatment of Complex Trauma" for Mill Creek Family Services in Washington, USA in 2026.

She will also provide an in-service training, "Assessing Dissociation: MID, MID-60, DES-II, and SSD" for Mill Creek Family Services in Washington, USA in 2026.

7th World Congress on Ego State Therapy

Cynthia was invited faculty at the 3-day English-language portion (20-22 April 2026) of the 7th World Congress on Ego State Therapy, a global, multilingual program (20-26 April 2026). She presented:

• "Coming at Things Sideways: Working with Ego States through the Power of Metaphors" on 20 April 2026
• "Clinical Demonstration: Using Metaphors in Ego State Therapy" on 21 April 2026
• "Panel Discussion: Ego State Therapy with or without Hypnosis" on 21 April 2026

Cynthia is currently developing training related to integrating Ego State Therapy with EMDR.​

Since 1995, Cynthia has presented over 100 times at in-person and online conferences. workshops, symposia, and other events in the US and internationally. She has been a plenary and keynote speaker many times. Past presentations and trainings are listed here.
